Among the many metrics that characterize a team is the onus and responsibility to keep the team motivated. Team leads and members alike stand to benefit from a spirit in the team that drives them to keep striving for the best.

As each team member has a defined role to play which is catalytic to the success of the team, mutual respect is imperative. Appreciating and respecting the role of each team member goes beyond recognising them in their roles. Conduct must also measure up. Avoid deliberately causing embarrassment or difficulty to teammates simply because you think you can get away with it. You may have no idea what kind of damage your conduct can cause to the team as a whole.
