As a sequel to my article on the business in adherence to procedure, is payment of attention to detail.
When we pay for something it is to fulfill an obligation for obtaining it. In the same vein, we pay attention to the intricacies of the task in order to produce excellence in the result. It is an obligation that peak performers commit to and live by.
The saying, “the devil is in the detail” reigns true, especially in organizational operations. Some of the greatest exposures to risk has been the fact that important considerations became victims of oversight or sheer ignorance to delve into detail.
Being a stickler for detail should not be a negative label but must be seen from the perspective of being an enabler for success.
The business in paying attention to detail is the protection of interests and assets as it reduces or out rightly eliminates wastage.
